Nominee for President - Trevor Meyers

President-Nomination

I recently accepted a new role managing a large QA team at Farm Bureau. Before my new role, I was a Business Analyst for 7 years. Prior to Farm Bureau I worked as a collision manager in the auto industry for over 10 years.

In addition to my dedication to my daily work. My focus is on volunteering and sharing my knowledge in the Business Analyst community. In 2015 I joined IIBA and was a volunteer for the Content Team for IBADD in 2016. Shortly after volunteering for the Content Team the team lead had to step down and I assumed the role of Content Lead for IBADD 2016.

In 2019, I was selected as event Chair for IBADD. I, along with my Co-Chair, ran a successful two-day event. Also, in 2019 I was appointed to the IIBA CIC Volunteerism and Outreach Board position. In conjunction with all of my volunteer work with IIBA and IBADD, I have enjoyed participating with Special Olympics as an announcer for the past 7 years.

In 2019 I earned my CCBA designation. I have a passion for the industry of Business Analysis and as President will continue to lead the Central Iowa Chapter to be one of the premier chapters of IIBA

Director of Professional Development - Brenda Peshak

Director of Professional Development-Nomination

I am a Product Owner and have 12 years experience as some combination of Product Owner, Business Analyst, Scrum Master, or Project Manager. I have a master’s degree in Business Leadership and a bachelor’s in business management. I have been assisting this chapter with technology for the past 4 years, 2 as a volunteer and 2 as a board member.

I bring prior experience serving on the IBADD committee and I worked to make sure the speakers had a great experience. I had suggested creating a sort of "green room" for them to relax in during breaks and a place to eat quick before their next presentation. I also have done practice sessions as requested before chapter meetings to make sure our speakers were ready to go for the chapter meetings.

My vision as your IIBA Director of Professional Development is to get speakers named and onto the website early so there is a list of exciting speakers to view. I also want to make sure the speakers are ready and comfortable so their presentations are focused on providing value to our members. I would love to hear topics people have an interest in and honest feedback about Agile Working Group and what people are looking to get out of that opportunity.

Please vote for me for Director of Professional Development.

I volunteered on the Logistics and Partnerships committees before officially joining the board as the Director of Partnerships and Outreach in 2019. In my role as a Director of Partnership and Outreach, I created a brand-new partnership strategy for the chapter that focuses on bringing significant value to the chapter and to our partners.
